N. Vietnam, Bac Can prov., Ba Be distr., Ba Be national park (22°24′44′'N, 105°38′05′'E). Primary dry broad-leaved evergreen forest (with Burettiodendron hsienmu as a main dominant) on very steep slopes of remnant highly eroded limestone ridge at elev. 700-850 m a.s.l. Shrub up to 2 m hg in open very steep open rocky slopes. Very common, especially along tops of ridge.
