N. Vietnam, Bac Can prov., Ba Be distr., Ba Be national park (22°24′44′'N, 105°38′05′'E). Primary dry broad-leaved evergreen forest (with Burettiodendron hsienmu as a main dominant) on very steep slopes of remnant highly eroded limestone ridge at elev. 600-800 m a.s.l. Lithophyte and occasional epiphyte at base of trees on very steep rocky slope. Very common, locally abundant.
