N. Vietnam, Bac Can prov., Ba Be distr., Nam Mau municipality, near Hua Tang village, Ba Be national park (22°27′10′'N, 105°34′29′'E). Primary dry broad-leaved evergreen forest (with Burettiodendron hsienmu as a main dominant) on very steep slopes of remnant highly eroded limestone ridge at elev. 500-600 m a.s.l. Palm 0.5-1 m hg in shady wet slope. Inflorescence yellow. Locally abundant.
