Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved lowland forest on very steep hill slopes composed with stratified shale and sandstone at elev. about 150 m a.s.l.
Treelet up to 4 m tall on very steep rocky shady slope. Flowers yellow. Fruits dark green. Occasional.
