Primary evergreen broad-leaved lowland forest on very steep hill slopes and along ridge composed with stratified shale and sandstone at elev. about 400-450 m a.s.l.
Shrub 2-3 m tall along ridge. Flowers white, tips of tepals pinkish, anthers yellow. Rare.
