Thanh Hoa Prov., Thuong Xuan Distr., Bat Mot Municipality, Ban Vin vill., Xuan Lien Nature Reserve, shale mountains, around point 19°58′18″N 104°59′10″E, 1000-1267 m.

Scattered in 2nd storey of prestine and primary Fokienia hodginsii submontane forests on ridges of mountains and in Cunninghamia konishii forests on slopes.

Evergreen trees, up to 15-20 m tall, dbh up to 0.5-0.7 m. HAL 11157 18 Aug. 2007
