Thanh Hoa Prov., Thuong Xuan Distr., Bat Mot Municipality, Ban Duc vill., Xuan Lien Nature Reserve, limestone mountains, around point 20°01′14″N 104°57′46″E, 900-980 m.

Scattered in primary closed evergreen seasonal tropical broad-leaved submontane forests on ridges of limestone mountains.

Medium-sized evergreen tree, up to 15-20 m tall, dbh to 0.5-0.7 m. Regeneration by seeds seen.
