Scattered in primary closed evergreen seasonal tropical broad-leaved submontane forests on ridges of limestone mountains.
Medium-sized evergreen tree, up to 15-20 m tall, dbh to 0.5-0.7 m. Regeneration by seeds sometimes abundant.
