Thanh Hoa Prov., Muong Lat Distr., Trung Ly Municipality, Cap vill., ca 1000 m, to 10 km S of around point 20°27′23″N 104°42′46″E, on the border with Laos, shale and sandstone mountains, in heavily logged evergreen mixte lowland forests on slopes.
Small evergreen treelet and saplings, regenerated rarely in forests.
Was common, nowadays become endangered species due to logging for timber and forest fire.
