Cupressus tonkinensis Silba

Lang Son Prov., Huu Lung Distr., Huu Lien Commune, Coc vill., Huu Lien Nature Reserve, shale hill on foot of limestone mts., around point 21°40′28” N, 106°22′34” E, 200 m.

Collected seedlings and saplings on top ridges of limestone mts., ca. 300-600 m a.s.l., in primary closed evergreen seasonal tropical mixte lowland forests ; cultivated arerely as ornamental tree in private (Mrs Hoang Van Chiem & Hoang Van Xa) gardens on shale soils.
