Collected seedlings and saplings on top ridges of limestone mts., ca. 300-600 m a.s.l., in primary closed evergreen seasonal tropical mixte lowland forests ; cultivated arerely as ornamental tree in private (Mr Vi Van Thi) gardens on shale soils.
