Quang Ninh Prov., Uong Bi Town, Thuong Yen Cong Comm., from Bao Sai Pagoda (around point 21°09′20” N, 106°43′08” E, 680 m) to Hoa Yen Pagoda (near point 21°09′05” N, 106°43′03” E, 520 m).
Cultivated since very long time, at least some hundreds years ago along trails to pagodas, edges of logged closed primary evergreen mixte submontane forests on upper slopes of silicat mountains.
