Phu Tho Prov., Tan Son Distr., Xuan Son Comm., Can mt., 21010′02” N, 104054′24” E, ca. 900-1140 m, ca. 5 km to NW of Coi vill., 21009′13” N, 104056′47” E, upper parts of slope and ridges of limestone mountains.
In primary closed evergreen mixte submontane forests.
Occasionally clustered, evergreen tree, up to 15-20 x 0.3-0.5 m or more; regeneration rare.
