Collected fallen down branches from Jan-Feb, seedlings and saplings on top ridges of limestone mts., ca. 300-600 m a.s.l., in primary closed evergreen seasonal tropical mixte lowland forests ; cultivated rarely as ornamental tree in private (Mr ) garden on shale soils, very closed to Hoang Van Luat house.
