Coniferous primary forest with Dacrydium and Fokienia along ridge edge composed with brown shale at elevation 1000-1100 m a.s.l.
Tree to 15 m tall and 0.3-0.4 m in diameter. Common. Usual co-dominant of first forest stratum.
