Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Dan Hoa municipality, Vietnam-Laotian border, to the N of Cha Lo border entrance, point 17°43′25″N 105°46′07″E.

Secondary broad-leaved forest along stream canyon composed with solid eroded limestone and soft stratified dark brown shale at elevation 350 m a.s.l.

Terrestrial herb to 0.6 m tall in open sandy places along stream valley. Very common.
