Quang Binh prov., Quang Ninh distr., Truong Son comm., Truong Son Logging Enterprise, near logging site No 1, around point 17°19′03” N, 106°23′38” E, 100-180 m a.s.l., in 1st storey of primary and secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved lowland forests on sandy rock mountains, from foot to lower part of slopes.

Medium-sized evergreen tree, up to 20 m tall and more, 0.4-0.6 m dbh and more. Ripe fruits brownish-red. Occasionally common, regeneration normal.
