Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr., Can Ty Comm., Bat Dai Son NR, ca. 1200-1400 m, about 1 km to W of Dau Cau Vill., around point 23005′06” N, 105001′56” E, ridges of limestone mountains.
In small groups under primary closed evergreen conifer submontane forests with the dominance of Xanthocyparis vietnamensis and Calocedrus rupestris.
