Remnants of primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forests on very steep slopes of hill composed with solid highly eroded limestone at elevation 450-500 m a.s.l.
Terrestrial herb in shady places. Flowers white, apoces of tepals dark dirty black-violet. Locally common.
