Primary broad-leaved closed wet forest on very steep rocky slopes and cliffs of low remnant mountains composed with highly eroded solid marble-like limestone at elevation about 700-800 m a.s.l.
Terrestrial and lithophytic undershrub to 1 m tall on wet rocks of tall vertical shady limestone cliff along waterfall. Fruits brightly red. Not common.
