Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep mountain slopes composed with shale at elevation 1100-1250 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte in canopy of tall tree along rocky mossy ridge edge. Common.

Flowered under cultivation in September 2009. Flowers with distinct cucumber fragrance, pure light green, lip with two dark green calli at the base, column white-greenish, operculum dull yellow. Photos.
