Remnants of primary evergreen primary forest on very steep slopes and cliffs composed with solid highly eroded marble-like limestone at elevation about 600 m a.s.l.

Dwarf palm to 0.5 m tall on very steep rocky shady slope. Locally very common. Occasional mono-dominant of herbaceous stratum of the forest on steep shady slopes.
