FLORA OF VIETNAM Plants of Yen Bai Province Ebenaceae Rhododendron sp.
Yen Bai Prov., Mu Cang Chai Distr., Nam Co Comm., Phinh Ngai Vill., around point 21054′04” N, 104017′50” E. Rather common in secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved scrubs and forests on slopes of mountains, 1650-1920 m a.s.l., on shale and sandstone basic rocks, mixte sometimes with quartzite. Shrub, 2-5 m tall, evergreen. Flowers white with yellow patches on foot of one petal lobe.
