Primary coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga brevifolia on remnant highly eroded limestone ridge at elev. 1000-1200 m a.s.l. Lithophytic and terrestrial herb or shrublet about 0.3 m hg on forest understory. Flowers pink-violet. Leaves dark green above, pale green beneath with violet primary and secondary nerves. Rare.
