Rhoiptelea chiliantha Diels et Hand.-Mazz.

Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., to the west of Nam
Xay village (1 km to the W of point 21°59′00′'N, 104°02′00′'E).
Primary broad-leaved evergreen mountain forest with Fokienia (as
emergent) on granite and quartzite very steep slopes at elev.
1600 m a.s.l. Tree about 20 m hg and 0.5 m in diam. Rare.
