Primary broad-leaved wet evergreen montane forest with Fokienia hodginsii (as emergent) on granite and quartzite very steep slopes at elev. 1600 m a.s.l. Terrestrial creeping herb in open rocky place along stream. Flowers blue-violet, central tepal with deep violet venation, anther yellow-orange. Common.
