Primary broad-leaved wet evergreen montane forest with Fokienia hodginsii (as emergent) on granite and quartzite very steep slopes at elev. 1600 m a.s.l. Terrestrial creeping herb 15-20 cm hg. Common. Usual co-dominant of herb stratum at elev. 1200-1500 m a.s.l.
