Primary evergreen broad-leaved montane forest along granite/quartzite ridge at elev. 2200 m a.s.l. Tree about 15 m hg. Flowers white, very pleasant fragrant. Occasional co-dominant of second forest stratum at elev. 2200-2300 m a.s.l.
