Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., Khanh Yen Ha municipality, to the SW of Na Nheo village (in the vicinity of point 21°57′26′'N, 104°13′00′'E). Primary evergreen broad-leaved montane forest along granite/quartzite ridge at elev. 2200 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb on very steep rocky slopes. Epiphytic herb on mossy trees in shady slope. Flowers white with green tips of tepals, stem green with purple-violet marks, bracts at the base of stem purple-violet. Common at elev. 2200-2650 m a.s.l.
