Primary evergreen broad-leaved montane forest along granite/quartzite ridge at elev. 2200-2400 m a.s.l. Treelet 6-7 m hg. Flower buds light green. Common. Usual co-dominant of first stratum in montane forest communities on tops of ridge at elev. 2340 m a.s.l.
