Primary closed evergreen broad-leaved submontane forest with Fokienia hodginsii on steep granite and quartzite slopes at elev. 1250-1350 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb about 0.5 m hg in shady place. Petioles and young leaves with violet tint. Common.
