FLORA OF VIETNAM Cyatheaceae Cyathea podophylla (Hook.) Copel.
Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., Khanh Yen Ha municipality, to the SW of Na Nheo village (in the vicinity of point 21°58′26′'N, 104°14′21′'E). Primary closed evergreen broad-leaved submontane forest with Fokienia hodginsii on steep granite and quartzite slopes at elev. 1400-1500 m a.s.l. Woody fern with stem up to 3 m hg and fronds 2-3 m lg. Very common. Usual co-dominant of shrub forest stratum.
