Primary evergreen seasonal broad-leaved closed lowland forest on clayey shale at foothill slopes of rocky ridge composed with crystalline marble-like highly eroded limestone at elev. 500-700 m. Rhizofloric tree 6-8 m tall. Syconia purple-brown. Not rare.
