Slightly logged primary closed broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep slopes of mountains composed with shale and sandstone along stream canyon.
Epiphyte on high trees (Hopea mollissima, Schima wallichii, Diplopanax vietnamensis, Choerospondias axillaris, Podocarpus neriifolius, Dacrycarpus imbricatus, Engelhardia roxburghiana). Leaves below with violet tint. Common.
