Secondary closed broad-leaved evergreen forest and scrub on rocky steep slopes of remnant mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline deep gray limestone.
Epiphyte on tall trees (Hopea mollissima, Schima wallichii, Allospondias lakonensis, Dacrycarpus imbricatus, Engelhardia roxburghiana) on shady vertical cliffs. Not rare.
