Primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep mountain slopes and hill tops composed with shale, sandstone and granite at elevation 700-800 m a.s.l.
Tree 20-25 m tall. Flower buds whitish. Common. Occasional co-dominant of dirst and second forest stratum.
