Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., A Luoi Distr., Huong Nguyen Municipality, in vicinities of Tra Ve forest protection station, around point 16°13′47′'N, 107°27′47′'E at elevation about 120 m a.s.l.
Secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep hill and mountain slopes composed with shale.
Terrestrial and lithophytic herb on rocky shady wet stream slope. Flowers red. Leaves uniformly light green on both sides. Very common.
