Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., A Luoi Distr., Huong Nguyen Municipality, in vicinities of Tra Ve forest protection station, around point 16°13′47′'N, 107°27′47′'E at elevation about 80-120 m a.s.l.
Secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep hill and mountain slopes composed with shale along stream valley.
Terrestrial and lithophytic herb along shady stream cliffs. Flowers and flower bracts green with brown tint. Locally very common.
