Secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep hill and mountain slopes composed with shale along stream valley.
Riparian shrub 2.5-3 m tall among open wet stream rocks along rocky stream valley. Fruits green. Very common. Co-dominant of riparian shrub communities in open rocky river valleys.
