Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., A Luoi Distr., Huong Nguyen Municipality, in vicinities of Tra Ve forest protection station, around point 16°15′27′'N, 107°26′15′'E at elevation about 150-250 m a.s.l.
Secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep hill and mountain slopes composed with shale.
Terrestrial herb up to 1.5 m tall on shady hill slopes. Flowers white, lip with yellow central stripe and two red lateral lines. Locally common.
