Degraded primary coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga sinensis on very steep rocky slopes and along tops of narrow rocky remnant Chong Sia ridge composed with highly eroded marble-like limestone.
Lithophytic ephemeroid herb up to 2 m tall on very steep rocky mossy slope and on shelves of vertical cliffs. Bulb up to 15 cm in diam. Not common.
