Scattered in logged primary closed evergreen seasonal tropical lowland broad-leaved forest on old alluvial soil with the dominance of Dipterocarpus dyeri. Evergreen medium-sized woody vine, up to 10-15 m long, ca. 1-2 cm in diameter; flowers pinkish-brownish, ripe fruits dark red.
