Scattered in secondary open semideciduous seasonal tropical lowland broad-leaved forest on slope of granite mountain. Medium-sized evergreen tree, up to 15-20 m tall, dbh 0.4-0.6 m; fruits sessile with 3 big bracts; stipules 2 cm long.
