Scattered on stream banks, in heavily logged primary seasonal tropical lowland broad-leaved forest on slopes of granite mountain. Medium-sized evergreen tree, up to 15-20 m tall, dbh up to 0.5-0.8 m; fruits 2 at leaf axil, diameter up to 1.5 cm, whitish.
