Scattered in heavily logged primary and secondary seasonal tropical lowland broad-leaved forest on slopes of granite mountain, mainly on stream banks. Medium-sized tree, up to 10-15 m tall, dbh up to 0.3-0.4 m; fruits on leafless twigs.
