S.Vietnam, Thua Thien Hue Prov., Xuan Loc Distr., Bach Ma National Park, steep slopes along Dong Truoi ridge around point 16°14′11′'N 107°44′28′'E at elev. 800-1000 m a.s.l.
Broad-leaved evergreen primary closed forest on N slope of the ridge. Terrestrial herb up to 4 m tall in shady wet rocky slope. Flowers yellow with red. Common.
