Xylopodium arenarium sp. et gen. nov.

S.Vietnam, Ninh Thuan Prov., Ninh Hai Distr., around Ninh Chu town
Vinh Hai Municipality, at elev. 2-4 m a.s.l.

Open shrub and herb communities on sandy dunes along sea cost. Spores bearing body erect up to 10-14 cm on dry open white coral sand. Stalk gray-brown with whitish transversal stripes, stroma deep brown. Very rare.
