Vietnam, Binh Phuoc Prov., Phuoc Long Distr., Bu Gia Map Municipality, along Dak Bo stream, around point 12°16′17″N 107°11′30″E at elev. about 300-350 m a.s.l.

Primary closed evergreen and semi deciduous broad-leaved lowland dry forest and open woodlands on hill slopes on basalt and shale mother rocks along dry stream valley.

Tree up to 8-10 m tall on rocky dry stream slopes. Locally very common. Occasional co-dominant of forest shrub stratum on dry S-faced slopes.
