Vietnam, Lam Dong Prov., Lac Duong Distr., Da Chais Municipality, around point 12°07′39′N 108°39′17″E, at elevation 1600-1800 m a.s.l. W slope of Bi Doup mt.

Grassy secondary woodlands with Pinus kesiya on steep mountain slopes.

Treelet to tree 4-8 m tall. Very common. Co-dominant of second woodland stratum.
