Vietnam, Dak Lak Prov., Krong Bong Distr., Hoa Son Municipality, vicinities of Krong Kmar river, NE slopes of Chu Yang Sin mt system at elevation 700-800 m a.s.l. around point 12°27′55″N 108°19′00″E.

Primary mixed broad-leaved and coniferous forest with Pinus latteri along ridge edge.

Sapling 3-4 m high of tree up to 15-20 m tall. Rare.
